EXPERIMENTS IN SOCIAL & DISTRIBUTED CHOREOGRAPHY:

Requiem for a Time Before, is a collaborative ‘social choreography’ that invited participants to (as the creator of Social Action Research Dennis Sandow puts it) ‘ask the same question at the same time,’ accompanying one another alone-together in transformative creative practice. The aim was not to come to a ‘shared perspective’ or consensus, but rather for each of us to remind ourselves what matters and affirm what we find meaningful. Creative responses from our first group of 9 included dance, music, poetry, photography, videography, installation, visual and ephemeral art. Below is one experimental video from this project, called It’s 10:35.

Performed by Ann Moradian, Corinne Marquart-Ott and Patricia Danahey-Janin, with poetry, video and voice by Ann Moradian.
